Alan has created Macadamia Orchard maps from Mackay in the north to Alstonville near Byron Bay in the south.
Swan Ridge and Moore Park are owned by Maccacorp Ltd and are managed by Scott Norval. (See Testimonial section for a testimonial from Scott).
Poster sized prints displaying these maps are in the office of Maccacorp and are used daily to manage the property.
Swan Ridge has over 40,000 trees and up to this point in time is the largest single macadamia orchard mapped by Alan.
Rey Eye Macadamia is in the developmental stage and Kim Wilson is using this map to help set up and develop the property.
Clients have found that maps can aid their properties in many ways.
With the advent of satellite images and by using irrigation maps, many maps can be produced without the need to visit the property.
The outline of the property, the crop outlines, the rows of trees and even fence lines can be obtained by satellite imagery. Much of the remainder of the information can be supplied by the owners of the property in the form of spreadsheet data.
